The Medicine of Nature…

What a difference a week makes! Last week was an absolute wipe out and really struggled to do anything other than get through my lessons. This was due to an accident I’d had, in a spectacular fall down the second half of my home stair case. Still have no idea how it happened but after misplacing my heel- I slid down on my left side with the side of my head not leaving the wall until reaching the hall floor. At the time although shaken didn’t think too much of it apart from having instant bruising and carpet burns on my bottom and legs. A couple of days later- my shoulder girdle was telling me I’d strained something deep.

After a week of feeling quite low and not being able to crack on with training on my new equipment- I decided to just resign myself to rest and light walking.

Sometimes I think we are all hard on ourselves with our ‘To Do Lists’. In the grand scheme of things does it really matter if certain things don’t get done? As Business Owners we set our own goals. Assess our own Performance Management-lol!

This last weekend was pure bliss as I took my foot off the pedal and accepted the medicine of nature. A solo walk in Christchurch, Oxford was magical and just what I needed. Phone off - just the sounds from the river and wild life for company. I feel incredibly lucky to have such a lovely place on my doorstep and don’t allow nearly enough time to embrace it. Here are some photos of my walk- got those steps in without even noticing it and felt super relaxed!

Happy to say that this week- I’m feeling my usual self and back on form and super grateful for my quick healing body! Gratitude Attitude is the order of the day and looking forward to meeting the new recruits this evening for Reformer Classes.

It’s going to be a great week! Happy Monday All!
